Missing Children Strategic and Operational Groups

What is the remit of the Missing Children Strategic Group?

Multi-agency group to support the East Riding Safeguarding Children Board in mitigating the risks to children and young people by reducing the incidence of them going missing by putting in place systems and processes to monitor, ensure and improve the co-ordinated practise of the relevant partners. This will include reviewing, developing and improving statistical information in relation to children who go missing in the East Riding.

 What is the remit of the Missing Children Operational Group?

A multi-agency group to support the Missing Children Strategic Group in mitigating the risks to children and young people by reducing the incidence of them going missing. This will include the group being responsble for collating, reviewing and analysing statistical information in relation to children missing within the East Riding. The group will co-ordinate quarterly audits of missing children return home interviews in order to review the support currently in place and identify and recommend if any further actions could be implemented to reduce the risk of further missing episodes.
