Local Updates

Community Response Hub

As further measures are put in place to delay the spread of COVID-19, local people have already started to pull together to arrange help in their area for those who need it. However, not everyone has a network of family, friends, neighbours or carers to call upon. In response, the council, in partnership with the HEY Smile Foundation, has created a community response hub which will connect the most vulnerable people in the East Riding with those that can provide the help and support they need, which could range from picking up medication or shopping, to a telephone call if they are feeling isolated.

The dedicated telephone number is (01482) 393919 and it will be operational between 9am-9pm Monday to Friday and 9am-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Email requests are also available and all emails should be sent to covid@eastriding.gov.uk.
