Aim
To increase awareness of adult mental health issues among those who have a role in safeguarding children and young people
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course participants will have:
- Considered attitudes and assumptions about mental illness and the impact this might have on the individuals involved
- Identified key signs and symptoms for the main forms of mental illness and the terminology used
- An understanding of the types of interventions used locally to support people with mental illness
- A basic knowledge of mental health legislation
